SMDI Seeks R&D Proposals to Develop Steels for Future Manufacture of Pipes and Tubes for Natural Gas Industry

The research is in response to new technologies being used by the natural gas industry to recover new reserves with different environments, which demands increased properties in the steels that can be used. Line pipes of all diameters will be considered, including U/O, electric-resistance welded (ERW), and spirally welded.

Multiple proposals may be submitted. For more information and submission guidelines, view the Request for Proposal. Proposals may be submitted electronically in Word format to and are due by August 30, 2013.
